ABOUT ME

I’m Julie Atabe, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Colorado. Additionally, I also hold licensure in Wisconsin and Arizona. I am passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s transitions and challenges. With over 20 years of experience in the field, I have the privilege of working with diverse clients, each bringing unique stories, struggles, and triumphs.

Therapy is a collaborative journey in which you and I work together to explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. My approach is client-centered, which means I partner with you to find your inner strengths, give you support, and help you reach your specific goals. I also use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you find new and meaningful perspectives. I will help you to challenge negative thought patterns that can get in the way of healthier and more balanced ways of being. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, life transition, or just feeling stuck, I’m here to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can be heard and understood.

In our work together, you can expect empathy, understanding, and practical tools to help you cope with life’s difficulties. I offer individual therapy sessions to adults ages 18 and above. My goal is to empower you to make positive changes in your life, foster resilience, and build a deeper connection with yourself and others.

I am deeply passionate about mental health and believe everyone has the potential for self-awareness and healing. Seeing my clients gain new insights and improve their well-being is incredibly rewarding. I am honored to be part of this journey and am committed to supporting this growth every step of the way.

When I’m not in session, you can find me reading, listening to music, watching a good movie, and spending time with family. These activities help me stay balanced and bring fresh energy into my work with clients.
